UBM Germany welcomes back an experienced executive: Christian Berger has been appointed Chairman of the Management Board of UBM Germany, effective October 2025. In his new role, he will be responsible for Sales, Marketing, Project Development, and Communications.
Vienna/Munich, September 25, 2025. UBM Germany has filled the vacancy at the top of its management team sooner than expected. Christian Berger succeeds David Christmann, who stepped down in July. Berger is a familiar face within the company — he held various leadership positions at UBM and its predecessor companies between 2001 and 2020, most recently serving as Managing Director. Following senior roles at Artprojekt and 6B47 Germany, Berger is now returning to UBM after nearly five years.
“UBM Germany still feels like my baby. I am excited to once again work alongside my three fellow managing directors and the entire team to successfully guide UBM Germany through the years ahead,” says Christian Berger.
As of October 1, 2025, Berger will oversee Sales, Leasing, Marketing, Project Development, and Communications. His fellow Managing Directors will continue in their established roles: Daniel Pfister (Commercial Project Management, Controlling, Tax, IT, and Mobility), Bernhard Egert (Timber Construction, Construction Mainz and Berlin), and Roman Ehrentraut (Construction Munich and Frankfurt, Warranty Management, Technical Building Equipment/ELT). With Berger’s appointment, the management board of UBM Germany will once again consist of four members.
