First UBM Green Bond successfully placed

  • €50m for sustainable development projects
  • Strong demand from retail investors
  • “Financial strength is a major competitive advantage“

Vienna, 4 July 2023 – The 7% UBM Green Bond 2023-2027 (ISIN AT0000A35FE2) was successfully placed and the books were closed yesterday. “We are very pleased with the success of our first Green Bond and the strong confidence of private investors in UBM as an issuer“, emphasised Patric Thate, CFO of UBM Development AG. “Our ability to raise capital on the bond market – also in difficult times – is a major competitive advantage, and these funds will allow us to react very quickly to market opportunities.“

In advance of the issue, the holders of the UBM Bond 2018-2023 were invited to exchange their existing certificates for the new four-year UBM Green Bond. This offer was accepted by nearly one-fourth of the holders of the UBM Bond 2018-2023.

The UBM Green Bond 2023 was offered in Austria, Germany and Luxembourg by way of a public offer with prospectus and in other countries through a private placement for subscription. Demand was characterised by a particularly high share of retail investors. The planned value date is 10 July 2023. Plans call for listing the Green Bond for official trading in the corporates prime segment of the Vienna Stock Exchange.

Raiffeisen Bank International AG was the global coordinator & sustainability structuring agent for the transaction, and Raiffeisen Bank International AG and M.M. Warburg & CO served as the joint lead managers, bookrunners and dealer managers.
