UBM sells property in Salzburg for over €10 million

Vienna, 18.06.2025. UBM Development is selling a property at Bergerbräuhofstraße 27 in Salzburg to a Salzburg-based private foundation for €10.36 million, with WPH Real Estate GmbH acting as adviser. The building is owned by a project company in which UBM Development AG has an indirect 100% investment; the sale is being handled as a share deal.

As Thomas G. Winkler, CEO of UBM Development AG, explains: “In recent years, UBM has worked to gain reclassification for a residential project, but the City of Salzburg has not signalled any readiness to make changes here. Selling the property is therefore a consequent continuation of our mantra ‘liquidity over profitability’.”

UBM Development is one of Europe’s leading developers of timber construction projects. The strategic focus is on green and smart building in major urban regions such as Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt and Prague. The EcoVadis Platinum rating and the Prime Status by ISS ESG confirm the consistent focus on sustainability. With over 150 years of experience, UBM offers all development services from a single source, from planning to marketing. The company’s shares are listed on the Prime Market of the Vienna Stock Exchange, the segment with the highest transparency requirements.
